49 Keys

Just a guy with a keyboard
Propping up the Electric Board
This is all that I need now

What a load of commotion
Need to vent my emotion
So I turn to my Portasound

To get me through…

Synthesizer Song

Here I can't sleep at night 'coz of all that you said to me
Where's your  ‘femi-stop sign at a one-way station’
'coz it seems that I'm to blame
but I love you just the same

Here I…

Before a Fall

You have to be above the herd
You always have to have the final word
If only you'd remember what you're choosing to forget
I only pray you'll wake some day - it hasn't happened yet

Take…

Blue Moon

About every million years it shines between two lonelies
In a thousand million tears the blue moon shines again
To open up a golden locket
'Coz tonight a crazy lovely pulled my heart-strings out of their sockets

About…

Too Soon

Raindrops sprinkle from the sky
Like the tears that well up in your eyes
Mysty-black like the darkest ink
I would explain it but I just can't think

'Coz my heart it beating like a drum
My soul…

Click It To Glide

Selling the car for a pound 'coz I got me a new way of getting around
Feeling high as a cloud, y'know my feet ai'nt touched the ground
It goes anywhere without a fuss

Harlequin

Have you ever thought that life is just a stage
and that every day just turns another page?
Every actor plays a role in the most practical of jokes
Every lyric being written by a sage?

What will you…

Organ Song

Here we go, let's have some fun
In the House Of The Rising Sun
Play it 'till your hearts' desire
Open Doors with Light My Fire

Do not Shake or spill your ale
Or turn a Whiter Shade…

Laganside Blues

Around the ground, trying to live an illusion
Making lots of sound but still in confusion
This body's working no more, knowing that it doesn't pay
Feigning normality & throwing every breath away

No minds so blind as…

Fake News
Maniacs go into Iraq
though we can't beLIEve a word they say
A load of guys with a load of lies
found no weapons of destruction
People all died anyway!

What You Do

Saw you all those years ago, I couldn't look away
Taught my battered heart that it could love another day
On the rebound once again but I was just a pup
An angels' face & devils' heart…

A Different World

Saw you in a dream last night
you were singing a song I knew
Regressing in the fading
light of moon
You threw orchids down upon the grass
As you beckoned me I knew
I was drawn

Let's Pretend We're Lovers

What you want from me I can't ignore
Though you'll use me as I've been used before
If this was love it could be nice
but if you're wondering why I'm thinking twice

It's easy for…

Ballintoy

Give me your hand, let me brighten up your day
Are you restless, disillusioned, like your dreams have slipped away?
I understand you're craving for the life you've never seen
And you're anxious to become that someone that you've…

No Escape

You sabotaged my cars
hoping you could make me bleed,
then got a thousand loans
for all the things you think you need.
With all this useless crap
you think you'll stand out from the bunch,
but don't…

Spirit In The Dark

Every night she comes to me,
all damp and covered in mist.
Unseal her, on my skin she breathes,
her touch, eternal bliss.
When I feel her wrapped around me,
my worries disappear.
Drowned and dissolved…

Disqualified

If I told you I how it is
would you sympathise?
Maybe forgive for all I said
if I apologise?
You held my hand yesterday,
so dare I hope for a kiss?
'Coz if you kicked me in the…

What Goes Around

It started as a love affair
Your diamond eyes and golden hair
Years go by and times have changed
but even now, we feel the same
You were there when I was breaking my heart
right when…

Twentyfour Seven

Your heart is open but your mind is not so sure
You had it rough and you don't want to listen anymore
Wish I could cure the storm that tears around my soul
Wish I could tell you…

Fallen

You sound like a songbird with a beautiful song
But you look like an angel, fallen for so long
Your lips, like red wine, look sweet to the tongue
Your eyes they shine, bright as the morning sun

I've…

Leaving Me?

What if I see you in my dreams
Could it mean anything?
What if the truth ain't what it seems
Should we stop believing?
What if I can't be true to you, if I can't be true to…

Lunar

When I was young the only way
Was sleep all night and dream all day
In fantasy, a hero devoid of fear
A scary mask could hide a tear

Now I'm dreaming on my own
No toys except the…
